Re: speed tv

I canceled the COMCAST sports package that used to carry SPEED, saving $7 per month. However I still seem to be getting FS1, the same channel 731 previously occupied by SPEED. Cool, I guess. Time Warner took Speed out of the sports package down here a while back too, so I dropped the extra cost pac...

Re: Calabogie Videos

Interesting Bert. 260 deg plus oil temp on a 72 deg day. Does it runner hotter as air temps rise (say 90 deg)? I kinda worry when the Speed 3 sees 260 - 270. Saw 320 once -- that's where the GM engineers figure they ought to post a message to the dash board to tell you to knock it off. After that I...

Like so. Next time out I am going to move pedal cam to the left so you can see how far down I am pressing the pedals.

Re: Calabogie Videos

OBD-II cars have varying amounts of data available on the port. Most have RPM's and throttle, only some have steering and brake pressure. The Aim Solo logs the data along with the GPS signal for later analysis. Do you have electric steering on the Z Chris? John: Every car with "Active Handling...

Re: 2013 Licenses at NHMS-1

Postage Due Notice ($0.25) came with mine yesterday. Just feeding back another fact for your consideration.

I do like the new logo and the "Ultra Secure" license. Nice touches!

Re: Official 2014 Street Prepared/Prepared/Super Class Threa

Should we have a TO class? Time Only? I ran an airport autocross down here and signed up for that class rather than figure out where my car fit in their SCCA-derivative class structure. That would clearly be run what you brung.

Not true due to the safety equipment mandated for the Prepared classes. I would have liked to run PA on non-DOT scrubs but could not.

Re: 2013 Licenses at NHMS-1

Hi Bert, As Jeff mentioned, were all volunteers as you know. Unfortunately many who volunteer for COM do more than one job which takes up a lot of time and effort to run the club. It would be easier if we had more members that volunteer. I am a believer in the 20/80 theory in any organization. ( 20...

Re: 2013 Licenses at NHMS-1

NASA has paid staff. COM is all volunteers. Can you help us, Bert? Let me know what I can do. At the all volunteer gun club I belong to, they post tasks that need to get done for members to sign up for. That system seems to work. I sent in my money 10-Oct-2012 when the call for 2013 renewals went o...

Re: Official 2014 Street Prepared/Prepared/Super Class Threa

My problem with the old rules were the gaps between classes. That is, with non-DOT tires on my car it was not legal in any class. If the rules for Super are simpler and don't have gaps like that, I think it's a win. Explanation: non-DOT tires were illegal in SPA, but my car did not have equipment re...

Re: Mont-Tremblant Pics/Video

I gave RaceRender a try. It's pretty decent, though I've got some issues with the data from my logger. It doesn't display any laptime for the first lap. Try going into the Configure settings on your data file. Hit the [Manually Set Start/Finish Point] and adjust the tolerance on the heading, or X o...
