Re: Member profile DB/App problem?

Thanks Fred, edited and updated without a problem now. Carl, I plan on making at least one event this year, and hopefully two. Probably the "away" tracks since everything is away from here. Unfortunately I won't be ready for Mosport. I really hope to make it there though in the futur...

Member profile DB/App problem?

I got an email from Will today to go update my profile (Thanks Will!). That reminded me that I had tried to when I paid my membership earlier this year and it won't let me edit my profile because my state is not an approved state (it's blank). My userid there is also jrussell, and my state is VT. I ...

It looks like the rest area is a few miles north of exit 18 (rt.89) and a few miles south of the town of St.Albans. That's correct. It's called the Georgia rest area since it's in the town of Georgia. Just south of St. Albans. If there's going to be a whole bunch of us, we may have to find an alter...

With the 92db limit at Tremblant, what's the easiest way to prepare to be quieter? I've heard about steel wool, so that'll be packed and with me. How might you keep it in there though? I *should* be fine since I have two mufflers on my car (one per outlet) but I want to be prepared in case. BTW: It'...

I bought a GPS based data box called a Racelogic by Performancebox. http://vboxusa.com/performancedrift/ A friend of mine from Sweden got one of those too. He had it shipped to my house. I brought it to the track for a trial. I thought it was the biggest POS I've ever seen. I got it and my new HotL...

My car ran a full day of testing/practice at Summit, and then a 12-hour enduro, without a single mechanical issue (save a bad alternator, swapped out before the enduro start). Changed the oil, bled the brakes, realigned the car, installed the passenger seat, and brought it to the COM event at NHMS....

It might be the series of jacks too. I bought mine at Costco. It was the first aluminum jack they had with the full width roller in the front.... I've used it quite a bit for the last 4 or so years and even lift my old F250 and now my F350 with it without problems. I guess that would classify it as ...

Re: Looking for COM-lke club near Dallas, TX

A friend of mine lives in Sachse TX near Dallas, and is looking for a club like COMSCC there. He has a subie STI and wants to get on a road course. Any suggestions? I only lived there for a short while, but I did find Texas World Speedway in College Station (about 2.5-3 hours from Dallas). They hav...

Re: BIG CHANGE! SP safety rules now same as SS/ST

The Board voted tonight to make the SP safety equipment rules the same as SS and ST. That means that no longer are aftermarket belts, fire suits or roll bars required (roll bars are still required in all classes for convertibles). That's great news. I know of one person right off the top of my head...

I've not participated with them but I have a friend that is an instructor. They have more than just understeering cars that run with them though. :)

I have a 1997 F250 diesel (2wd) and towed a 48' open trailer with 2 Miatas from Burlington, VT to NHIS and back. I got 16 MPG. 20 MPG unloaded with summer fuel like many others are saying. I estimate the trailer weight to have been 10000# but that's only an estimate, I didn't weigh it. Another trip ...

Sometimes makes sense to trailer

Occasionally it's better off financially to trailer. Like when you have a diesel F250 that gets 20 MPG (about 18 MPG towing) and a RX7 that gets maybe 12 MPG on the street. Plus you have more room for fuel jugs, spare wheels/tires, tools, etc. If you don't already have or can't find use for a ...
