I have never driven a late model 911 on the track but I have beaten the everloving crap out of my Z51 C5 coupe. I only run one or two roadcourses a year but I autocross the car at Devens a lot, I drag race it and it is my daily driver. I just turned 164,000 on it and other than clutch/brakes tires I...

Oh, damn, I was hoping it was true, it would explain my driving at the last event. I think the rules should always open to revision, but if you get too specific you end up having to do some crazy paxing percentage like SCCA or weight/modification handicap sytem like NHRA/IHRA.

So, if you own a vette you're a retard?
So does that mean the club will change its name to ROMSCC?
That would be pretty cool.

Pretty clear cut: Intake manifold change = SP DOH! Apparently I am a flagrant rule breaker. If I had to, it takes about 15 minutes to swap the intake back on (as opposed to adding a roll bar). I never even really thought about it when classing the car becasue its a stock LS1 part. My point is that ...

The LS6 intake makes a little more power, maybe 5-10. Its actually standard equipment on the later model LS1's.
It doesn't matter, I'm doing some other crap to my car so its going to be SPA anyway.

When the 385hp Z06 came out in 01, I remember watching Ric Nelson (Powershifter) running 11's on drag radials right after he got the car. When he traded it on an 02 405 HP, he immediately brought it up to new England Dragway and did the same thing. Some of these guys have been drag racing since the ...

That because it's hard to police compliance, folks are running race gas to make their cheating even more effective? I honestly don't know what point you're making here. But again, it's no different than if someone C5 added Z06 goodies to pick up 20 or 30whp, which is entirely possible and invisible...

Re: Roll bars in more cars?

I am tempted to propose /To read: "Roll bars are required in all Street Prepared and Prepared cars , as well as SSU, ST1, and STGT, and in all convertible and open cars regardless of class." Let the flames begin. That means that anyone with a Corvette/ Cobra/etc that even wants to try out...

I have a buddy coming in from Michigan and we need a place to stay. Are there two beds in the room or one big one? I mean, we're close friends, but not THAT close.
