Rolex 24 COMer
Greetings - It's been awhile. I'm living vicariously through you guys these days; I ienjoy reading the 'chatter' and can see that the club continues take what it does seriously but not itself. Anyhow, I thought you'd be interested to know that ex COMer Bruce LeDoux is again running in the R24. Look ...

Re: Rule#23 - Thumbs up to the board members
I believe there might be a meaningful difference in performance potential as the 1.6s had a lower rear gear (higher number) than the 1.8s. So a 90 -93 with a 1.8 should easily out accelerate the next gen 1.8s all other things being equal.....

The most impressive thing about the photo is that you seem to have learned what it takes most others longer to learn; and that is you (one) drive with your eyes. Look at the head position --- perfect !! Were you ever a motorcyclist? Motorcyclist most often learn the lesson the hard way....

+2 on Going Faster. Covers everything you'll need to learn from newbie to advanced. Read it, reread it, bring it to the track, reread it. Two and more years from now you'll still be able use it as a reference/learning tool. There is also a companion dvd that you might consider.

Re: miata front hubs
The whole assy is replaced. Buy one (or two) hub assys, keep them with your tools/spares. When a hub fails you'll know it. Replacement takes 15 minutes maybe, including jacking the car.

Re: Daytona 24 hr Race next weekend
Greetings - Look for a COMer during the race. Bruce Ledoux will be one of the drivers of a GT3 Porsche, I can't remember the number right now I think it is either #63 or #68. I introduced Bruce to COM several years ago as a newbie. Look what happens with all the good COM training and experience......

Re: Application of Numbers
A safe (for your finish) and secure application would be to use vinyl letters/numbers. The day before an event spray the designated body panel with a mixture of dish soap and water. Apply the vinyl, then with a squeegy, squeeze the mixture out and blot whatever is left with a paper towel. You'll be ...

HPs
I've run both a Mustang Cobra and a Miata. In both cases I had Hawk blues up front and Hawk HPs out back. Given in both situations most of the braking is up front I heard no complaints from the HPs..
