Re: Dan D'Arcy

 thanks Cassie, Dan will be sorely missed and fondly remembered for all he gave to COMSCC and to Palmer and to me personally, his quiet manner did not match his fiercely competitive and dogged nature. On my last visit he complained about people early apexing T1, which can now be known as "...

Re: Pastrana up Mt.Washington..

The "thumbs up" to spectators (at ~4:55) is great, he's clearly focused but relaxed, probably because there are no barriers or guardrails near the top . . .

Re: Bruce Allen, Greased Shadow retires

I second Will's sentiments. Bruce was a driving force behind Palmer, his positions on the SCCA "New Track Committee" and the COM board got me sucked into it. His "PMP Business plan" is an Excel tour de force, the bank and SBA had never seen anything like it, turns out we were all...

Re: best compact lightweight Al floor jack for track?

I'm addicted to HF for some stuff that I don't care if it breaks after one use (e.g. a come-along to drag a broken car back into the trailer) or that I won't cry if it goes missing at the track. I own several HF jacks (bought on sale for under $70) and still like them, I would DEFINITELY snug up all...

Re: Harness Mounting

Hi Daniel, I have that VAC mount, a nice piece for BMW track cars. Find eyebolts with the same pitch to swap out the seat bolts, otherwise I'd just sandwich a small steel plate w/ two holes: one for the belt clip and the other to secure/sandwich the plate to the rear seat mount bolt. The VAC mounts ...

Re: Best place to get mounting/balancing - Concord NH area

Have you tried 3D Autoworks in Hudson? David & his dad have been mounting race tires for a long time.

Also Vintage Sports & Restoration, a bit closer to Concord.

Re: First Call to the Grid

We just got word (via the local state senator's office) the state task force has given guidance that we are clear to open as far as Covid-19 is concerned.

Thanks for your support!!

First Call to the Grid

Fellow COM members and friends, I am asking for help to get the track reopened. I have already written to everyone listed below, but hearing from you will be more convincing -- they have heard from me (and about me) ad nauseam, it's time they heard from you too. Below is a link to a form used by the...

Re: 2020 TT Season

Palmer Motorsports Park has been abiding by the local wishes re "sheltering in place" -- we will only reopen once that loosens up. Regarding the TT's, its a perfect model of "social distancing" since you can't even pass. As for classroom and drivers' meetings, doesn't COM have an...

Re: Palmer 1: June 2-3, 2018 Event Info

Did anyone find a surface pro tablet in the garages? we had someone who says they lost theirs on Thursday and thought it might have been left in the garage. Maybe some guy pedalled off with it.

Kudos on an uneventful event Sunday, that has to be a track record!

Re: Palmer 1: June 1-2, 2018 Event Info

Tom, what do you mean by this and where is the RV parking? Parking in reserved parking or RV areas is permitted by registration and payment only. That caveat is meaningless right now; we do plan to add reserved and RV parking down the road. Fyi, we paved the ambulance slip (after T1) so everyone ca...
