Who's ready for NHIS-1???

Post by StephanAlfa » Tue Feb 27, 2007 4:51 pm

Still need to iron a few things - most important is changing from letter "B" to "C" (SSC)
Cannot start the macchina in the winter ... oil too thick ... car too old... it will take more than 20 minuts to warm up almost 7 quarts ot 15-50 stock oil..
How are you guys doing in getting your machines ready?
Oh, I also ordered and plan to install a roll bar.
Ciao,
Stephan

My car should literally be ready a couple days before the event, its cutting it very close. It has undergone a significant change.

I am moving up a couple classes, but will be as slow as ever.

I don't have Stephan's problem, considering I've been driving my car almost every day.

All it REALLY needs is some track pads, a brake bleed, and RA1's. However, I have a laundry list of things to do other than that :)

I think I'm ready for NHIS -- The car ran when I put it away after LRP so I hope it runs when I take it out April 8 th . I will have to check tire pressure though  Maybe I should clean the air cleaner -- it hasn't been cleaned in over 3 years. :!:

Maybe you should get away from those Italian machines and get something you can just beat on and not work on :D

Hhhhhmmmm, pretty close to ready with the Speed3. Just over 4,500 miles since Dec 27th. Must be about broke in, huh? Can't wait to get the Blizzaks off and the RT615's on. Can't say anything bad about this little wagon, and can't say anything too good on the forum here
Mazdaspeed really got it right on this model. I even bought a pretty little red hauler for the away events.
Jay and I are in the planning stage and gutting out process with the 200SX. Planning cause it needs a lot to be track worthy. Then the tweaking, tuning, etc.
Anyway, I hope to bring good weather with me again like last year. Note: just a little sprinkle 2nd day at Mosport last year and dry the rest of the events! 8)
See ya on April 9th!

ugh... I had all these dreams for the Civic... new suspension setup: full cage, new seats, new harnesses, new shocks, new springs, more rear chamber, new tires... and all I have time and (no) money for is change the sway back to stock, installing a larger rear sway bar (which I bought last year) removing the stereo, speakers , ant (just like the day it was delivered from the factory) and remove the rear seat. Unless I plan on running on AS tires, I need to do some shopping soon and hopefully still leave me some cash to register for April... ugh.

Why can't I own a company that is run by a bunch of stuffy MBA's and leave me to run the marketing... achhooo racing... part of the business?

I've barely touched my car since LRP. I think it just needs pads/rotors/oil and it'll be ready to go.

I'm looking forward to getting back out there, although this off season flew by for me. Hard to believe the 1st event is in < 6weeks

Raj, don't forget that alignment- I'd hate to have your dad's car handle better than yours!
