Mitsubishi Evo (prepared something.. something)
I completed the worksheet for car class summary and ended up with no classification.
Can someone spitball for me? I used to be PB before the rules changed. I'm trying to appeal for late entry to Sunday's TT at NHMS
Thanks
Alex

Re: Mitsubishi Evo (prepared something.. something)
You have more than 109 points, which means you exceed the top of T100. That means you have to run in one of the super classes.
They are power to weight. Do you have a recent dyno sheet? Do you still have a dyno?

I have a sheet.
447.3/2470
.18hp/lb or 5.59 lbs per hp so it's looking like Super Unlimited?

Also, I'm sad because my car is the same weight and less than 1/3 the power

Re: Mitsubishi Evo (prepared something.. something)
Is that weight with you in it?
Re: Mitsubishi Evo (prepared something.. something)
That's without me in it

Re: Mitsubishi Evo (prepared something.. something)
You should use your competition weight (you, fuel, etc) which will lower your power/weight. Probably not enough to go to a lower super class.

It's cool I don't really care what class it is as long as no one gets upset about it.

The scales will be open at NHMS so you can get a 'wet' weight on Saturday.

Re: Mitsubishi Evo (prepared something.. something)
You can probably class lower than SU if you use Option B:
Option B:
The following formula may be used in lieu of providing actual power figures for a Super class vehicle, regardless of which value is higher (emphasis mine):
Power = Displacement multiplier x Valves/Cylinder Multiplier x RPM Multiplier x Forced Induction Multiplier
● Displacement Multiplier: 80/1 Liter
● Valves/Cylinder Multiplier: 2 valves/cylinder is 0.85, 4 valves/cylinder is 1.0, rotary is 1.0
● RPM Multiplier: ((Max RPM – 6000) / 6000) + 1
● Forced Induction Multiplier: 1.75
What's your max engine speed? I made a number up for an example, 7600 rpm:
2.0L x 80/1 L x 1.0 x (7600 - 6000 / 6000) +1 x 1.75 = 354.7
And say like you weigh 180 and your car is 2470 wet, that's 2650 as you'd exit the track and onto the scales.
That means your weight to power ratio would be 7.47, or Super A.

Nobody will protest anything if you promise to shoot fireballs out the back on every upshift!
Re: Mitsubishi Evo (prepared something.. something)
I'm having trouble following that for some reason.
Max RPM 7800
4 valves per cyl
2.3 liter
I do weigh 180 actually.

Fred I'm coming up with 6.33 using the numbers I posted above.
