Those events are much too crowded. Last week, I could barely squeeze by the other three drivers on track  and managed to wear my tires down to the steels belts... (shame on me)
The new curbing is nice and the garages are up. Water is on as well. Hoping to be there this Friday.

is the shower house open (and I assume that real toilets are in that building as well)?
Is the area around the garages paved yet (it was very muddy when I was there for rainy event).
Are the car ports in use now (lower area open roofed area)? Do they charge extra to use them?

see you there.

Water is on..they are anxiously waiting for the state to OK the permit for use. (any day now is what I was told) The grading was all done around the garages last time I was there, but no hot top yet.It may have been done this week. Car ports? Hmm..not sure where those are. There is a covered pavilion area right at the start/finish line now,but it's not for car use. If I go Friday,I'll update. Fred or Chris may chime in as well. Wish I was there today...

when I was there two weeks ago they framed up some car ports for race cars to park under in the lower parking lot. I do not know if they will charge to use them. just a roof with no walls. looks like you can enter from the back and drive out the front. when I was there they said that it was day 29 for showerhouse approval and that after 30 days they can use it with defacto approval (no news is good news).

Rebecca, you are correct. The "pavilion area" at the start/finish line is a carport, although not fully finished, and looks like the area under it may be paved when completed. The showers/bathrooms are still not functional due to the State dragging their feet on the letter of approval. The garage area is not paved as of today.

Great fun today with all flag stations occupied and a good bunch of attendants. Fred even cooked lunch! Can't wait to get back there again..once or twice a week would be just about ideal.. :D :sunny: :sunny:

Do you have to register for these or can we just show up and pay when we get there?

The track is going to pour concrete this Thursday so we will not have access to the car ports this weekend.

I signed up but expect to cancel. I have had enough wet track lately. Rebecca

I am camped on paddock now. Just grilled a tenderloin. No one else here. Garages open and paved. Carport concrete poured today. Not ready until Monday. Big bathroom and shower still not open.
