Any recommendations for roll cage builders near BOS?

Post by tang-o » Tue Aug 11, 2015 3:36 pm

I'm considering caging the Mustang for '16 season. Any recommendations near the BOS area?
I was thinking of following NASA cage specs
Thanks in advance.

me out of Hamden CT !
as SCCA and NASA rules are the same it's always wise to build a cage to the rules .
no matter who is going to build the cage make sure you know just what your getting for the price .
many people that build cages are not going to also paint them . also things like tabs to hold you HANS system so the belts will never go more then the 3" apart in a crash , helmet hooks , or any other tabs or mounts needed should be talked about 1st .

I second Chris Howard / zchris. You can see mine in number 33 at our next event (and yes, I painted it myself).

DWW Motorsports in Ayer. Dave has built cages in many race cars and focuses on the finer points. I can think of at least a dozen currently raced Miatas with his cages. Half of them have crashed and survived. I think they ran a Mustang in Continental Challenge a few years ago so he knows your car.

DWW built the cage that's in my 97 Mustang Cobra. Very high quality work.

DWW is currently running a Boss 302 in the Pirelli World Challenge. They are done the PWC for the year, but are planning on racing in the Trans-Am final at Daytona in November.

The team won the GTS class at Barber MSP back in April, with Spencer Pumpelly driving.
