Coming from NH and NOT hauling a trailer, what is your preferred route to WGI?
I know there is a pretty back road there that many talk about.
I noticed I can continue on I-90 (and not take 88) and get off exit 42 in Geneva/Lyons to 318 E and then 14 S
Suggestions much appreciated.
I am leaving tomorrow for the BMW HPDE event given I was working during the COM one and miss that track very much.

I find the I-90 route to be more pleasing visually. The stretch from Geneva down to the Glen is especially attractive. That route takes longer, but not by very much at all.
I'm always towing, and have found I-88 to be bumpy and requiring of much more attention than the Thruway. It's a pretty boring drive, too.
Denis Friedman once told me that for scenic beauty he likes a back way from I-88 to the Glen. I'm guessing it was a route via NY-206/NY-79 starting at Exit 8 in Bainbridge, NY. You might query him for suggestions.
BTW, I'll be there for the race school & will try and stop by to say hi.
