Kono Orange shock install 94 Miata

Any of you Miata gurus familiar with the Orange Koni's. There is a bushing the fits over the top of the shock rod but will not fit into the stock bump-stop (larger diameter) The orange shocks do fit the upper mount without modification. Not sure if the part is required or not.
