I looked on the "starting list" in the (proposed) Touring classification system to place a non SVT Focus and could not find anything..the "old" rules use to put them in SSC I believe.
SSC: "Ford Mustang all 4cyl and 6cyl NOC, Mustang SVO, Mustang 1969-73 V8 under 350ci, Mustang V8 1974-84, all 4cyl and
6cyl NOC, Lightning 1993-95'
So, all 4cyl,Not Otherwise Classified.
Probably T30 is the base?

Ahhh, he list was prepared by Miata guys .. I wonder, I wonder .. no wonder!
All kidding aside, there is a line item under the "SHOWROOM ASSESSMENT" tab where you can edit the specs of the car and see which class it fall under.

You tell me - if someone were to show up with one we (scrutineers) would be happy to class it and add it to the rule book.StephanAlfa wrote:where are the ALFA ROMEOS!!!

I hope to see you in your BMW next year tearing it up in T50 (guess).

I am still tinkering with this, the sheet shows only 2006 model 330i and mine is a 2001 with a weight difference and I wonder if I should ge the true weight to make sure given I have all electric seats, etc. (heavy). Any suggestions on checking car weight at home?
I am guessing - as everyone is - the idea is to bring any car to the highest T number range as possible, so mine would be 59.9999999 to be competitive ...

I would think you would just find something with a similiar power to weight ratio and voila.breakaway500 wrote:I looked on the "starting list" in the (proposed) Touring classification system to place a non SVT Focus and could not find anything..the "old" rules use to put them in SSC I believe.

I'm putting my vette in T30. Similar power to weight as a honda civic or other such doo-doo box.
vette 3600/165 = 21.8
honda civic dx 2339/106 = 22.06

Re: Question about base assessment for car not on list
Power to weight is not the only important factor in the equation of a cars performance. Many a "doo-doo" box has the potential to be a giant slayer, properly prepared..and driven well. I have seen it.
