Mosport Track Video

Post by deimos » Wed Apr 19, 2006 11:03 am

I made this video a few years ago at mosport. It's what the track looked like from inside my M5. I originally made the video for my family and friends who had no idea what I was doing at these COM events. There are turn by turn highlights. The line may not be perfect, but hey, keeping 4500 lbs of car on line isn't easy. :)

Mosport is my favorite track, and I look forward to it every year. Two events at Mosport this year is just awesome. Here's the video:

It requires quicktime to view it. It's 75MB small.

I just thought I'd post it for those pondering whether to make the haul to Mosport. It's worth it.

Wow! Thats very cool! I really like how you put the speeds in there for the first lap. I'll be watching this a few times before we go.

I think I'm more excited to go there than to Summit Point in a few weeks. That track looks like a lot of fun, and very fast.

I've heard some comments that I have a unique line through 8. If it's good enough for Greased Shadow and pro racers, it's good enough for me. It definitely increases the pucker factor heading into it though; especially on street tires.

Glad you like the video. Thanks!

deimos,

for some reason i can't view your vids. I installed the quicktime but still no luck.

timmmy,

you look so smooth out there it hardly looks like there are any turns.

Odd, it seems to work for others. Try doing "Save As..." and view them locally?

Making my first trip to Mosport in June :D , and it looks like it will be a great time.

Appreciate the insight although I'm guessing my SSB miata won't quite make it to the 130 mph you noted.

Thanks,
Dennis
Sad to see my SSB 2001 Miata go.

I'll probably be in a miata too this time. I plan to catch up on my reading on the back straight! :)

I've been thinking about that too. I will probably top out at 120 and thats enough for me right now. I'm gonna request they put me in group 2.

He's not smooth. He's actually stationary and the world is moving underneath him. Then he speeds up his videos. Any passing shots he edits in later.
