fun at time trial

Post by jimmacsrx7 » Sun Apr 16, 2006 1:29 pm

Hey all, had a great time at the two days in NH. I had my first "choke" at the time trial. I am in SPAand because of the fast drivers i knew i had to get to the 1:19's to have a chance at third.I was doing them in pratice and knew i was capable of them.First lap: missed shift- done.Second lap conservative to get a time.Last lap: make it good, had a very fast lap going, exiting ten i actually said to myself "trail brake the last corner and get all the exit speed you can for the straight and you have the 19's".........what a mistake,as the tires were squealing and i was catching the ass end that wanted to rotate around i smiled up the front straight laughing at myself for letting my mind wander. What a dope!!.... But it is still fun to compete just to see how you do under a bit pressure.

The Greg Reed"less" SPA class sure did crank it up last weekend. The top 3 cars all would have bettered Joels time first event last year. Jim sorry about the T/T- I know you would have been right there. I go into the timetrials knowing what I and the car can give- independent of what other's are doing that day.
