SOLD!!!
SOLD!!!
I have a almost race ready 1985.5 Porsche 944 for sale. The interior is all ready stripped and and repainted in red. The car starts and run. Good power, good clutch. The brakes are ok as you may need to bleed them again.
I will be taking the transmission out of that car as I will be putting in my other 944 race car. However, I do have another trans for it but there's problem with it. I'm also going to keep the wheels. It will not include the seats or the steering wheel but I do have the oem steering wheel.
I'm asking $700 for the car comes with title too...

Re: FS: MA 1985.5 Porsche 944 DE/Project track car
I am not sure I want to switch from a Corvette to a Porsche but I could be tempted if the grill in the passenger seat came with it. I could fire up the grill and cook while I drive at the same time.

Well, the grill can be included in this deal at no extra charge.

So no wheels or transmission, but grill included?

Well, I do have another trans I'm planning to put in this weekend. As for the wheels, I have another set that perhaps I can add for additional $200 more.

It's not what you drive, it's how you drive. "Lap times matter"

So that means that I could retrofit my stroked LT1 into that car, and then have a old style Porsche instead of a rusty Trans Am..........hmmm interesting!

Re: FS: MA 1985.5 Porsche 944 DE/Project track car
I have seen these conversions and people are very happy with it. Once that conversion is done, it does not really take the balance off the 944. I think this car would be a good candidate for it.

I just picked up my new 944 track car. This car needs to go. Price lowered $600.

Re: FS: MA 1985.5 Porsche 944 DE/Project track car
i'm doing a V8 swap into one of my 944's . the red one i let nate use and he popped the motor .
i have built the shit out of a SBC 350 motor . the people on the chevy forums state there motors with the same parts are putting out any were from 375 to 425 HP . i have put the two motors on the scales and the SBC motor fully dressed out is only 48 LBS more than the 944 8V motor .
the reason why i went with the SBC motor swap .
1st it's an ez swap to do .
2nd to rebuild a 944 motor the cost is 7k to 11k and all your going to have is a very under powered 150 hp motor . were the cost to do a built sbc motor costed me 5k in parts the motor was free . and i will have 3 times the hp and tork .
i opted not to do the kit thing and built all the swap parts i needed the total cost of that for the metals needed were about 150 dollars .
