Re: Old Car Quiz
That was fun. I got 96%. I really must be old. My dad had some of those cars.
The only thing between me and a perfect score was mixing up the '52 Henry J and Kaiser.

Great score. unfortunately I was not that high. I did get the kaiser but messed up on a lot of others. There were a lot of simularities amount the brands then. I think they use to copy each other during those years. This is especially true during the " fin" years. Glad you enjoyed it.

75%..I always mix up those Desotos/Plymouths/Chryslers..and past 1955...I'm guessing....
I'd love a Mercer...
Can you imagine doing 90mph in one of these...in 1912?

Re: Old Car Quiz
^Maybe there was a strong headwind that day..or they crapped their pants... The Mercer was far ahead of it's time, in 1912. It did set a lot of speed records back then:
"The 1910 Type-35R Raceabout, a stripped-down, two-seat speedster, designed to be "safely and consistently" driven at over 70 mph,and it was capable of over 90 mph. The Raceabout's inline 4-cylinder T-head engine displaced 293 cubic inches (4,800 cc) and developed 55 horsepower (41 kW) at 1,650 revolutions per minute. It won five of the six 1911 races it was entered in, losing only the first Indianapolis 500. Hundreds of racing victories followed. The Raceabout became one of the premier racing thoroughbreds of the era- highly coveted for its quality construction and exceptional handling."

Re: Old Car Quiz
I got a 62%, can I use the excuse I didn't really get into cars until much later in life, I grew up in boats. Some very cool looking machines.
