I wish I had these. I hear they are great.
I use the body straps and ended up tying them on the tires as I could not reach certain parts of the car w/o interfering with brake lines, etc.
Some use the body tied-down and wrap it on the wheel but turns out mine does not have an opening wide enough also.
Did you get them at E-trailer.com?

I just bought a set from pegasus and am really impressed with the quality, especially compared to the Summit/Jegs ones I had before. Made in USA, heavier construction, and not much more money. They are running a special right now, basically everything you need in a storage container for $ 125
