Thanks for the event notice as will keep things tentative concerning regearing the car and setting up other bits until Friday's word as she is ready for NHIS and next event would be NHIS so no sense changing back and forth if not needed. So much for those 'arrive and drive' days, eh? (kicks self in arse)
Alfa guy, 120mph is GREAT for the back straight before the bus stop. These kids with their computerized doo-hickeys and turbo/charged engines... Think the Italian here topped out at 125 in great weather but she was already at 105 at the beginning of the back straight so it seemed like FOREVER for those few additional mph. The ultra-slow climb is what convinced me to add a supercharger later this year.

I have a concern with Raj's new pic ... know the story of the guy hitting the only tree in the dessert?
We need is SUN to dry the track, not a sand storm...

Hey Shawn, are you towing the Mazda beast out there? Right now I am planing on hauling the Speed3 out. Those plans hinge on the hauler arriving from Ohio by Friday of this week. I have planned to hook up with Scott Swinehart and crew somewhere near Merrimack as they come down from Concord. I think early Sunday morning is the plan, I will see Scott on Friday and confirm. Wanna come along?
Anyone else from the area towing out? Stephan?
Sam, I'm just assuming that the over 60 degree weather will melt whatever snow has held on this long. I have to make the trip to NY on Friday. Going to my mother-in-law's house is pennance for a couple days of racing. So I'll catch you when you get there.
By the way, I can fix all those speed limiters with a hammer and a pry bar.

Ref: To tow or not to tow = To date I have not gotten a hauler but I have a couple "on the fire".
I can drive - no problem - so if I have no confirmation by tomorrow I am driving.
Let me know which routes you are planing to take.
Swinehart "caravan" will come from where?
I hear some will hit Mass Pike and others are planning Route 9. If I am driving (and not towing) I'll take the shorter which seems to be Route 9.
I will confirm tomorrow by noontime.

the weather looks fantastic for the next few days at the Glen. It may have been a mistake to cancel the bimmer event on sat-sun depending on how big those snow drifts are.
60s and sunny ....

Weather does look good
We should be in no problem
Since there is no one running on Sun. any idea when we can get in to track?
Mark and I are stoked to hit the glen and run with our new (and improved?) car class SSC
We feel like we should be pretty competitive in the running for most beat up s-box race car (although Mark Swinehart is always such a tough competitor)
The only class we feel we have locked up at this point is for having the tow rig with the most "disco-ness"
Hope everyone has a good trip we'll see you at the track

I made some improvements too ... in prevous notes I mentioned adding a turbo in the Alfa and hiding it in the glove box. It's an expresso machine that I am using the pressure to blow thru the fuel lines and get the car to go faster
.
My experience is that when you arrive on Sunday you can begin parking stating your car for next day. There are track hours tough so make sure you arrive before ... 5 PM?
Just called Seneca Lodge and the weather is improving (thanks all for the meditating, keep doing it!) and it is now in the 60's.

For those who didn't see the update to the first post in the thread, I've confirmed early arrival on Sunday is from 6 PM to 10 PM only. The gates are otherwise closed as there is no weekend event.
We're still looking good for our event. There may be water running across the track at places, but we'll see how things look in the morning.

As usual, thanks Andrew for being on top of these things. You (and the rest of the COM volunteers) really make this club run like no other.

Guys,
OK, since I don't see anything to the contrary on the web site or in the forums, I assume we are on for Monday and Tuesday, no?
