that would be great . i'm bummed about missing the comscc event's this past year i did make it to VIR this spring and twice at LRP and got the LRP bone twice you pay for the full day and get half days .
thompson is about the same distence from were i am at just about an hours drive . i was talking to a friend that works there and he told me they will also be doing track test days at thompson so that's good news .

Facility tour on Sat, Nov 16th including a track walk from what I'm told. Sign-up for free on Motorsportreg. Hopefully we'll get to do this next fall at Palmer too.

if you do have the time i would go to the track walk on the 16th .
there are many things that look good for the track layout they are building .
if i was the designer of the track i would have put the pit lane on the out side of the track were your not trapped inside of it when the track is hot . they could be building a bridge or tunnel but i did not see any thing like that there yet .
i really like the way they used the lay of the land so the track is not dead flat . not that it has any real elevation change to the property because it is kind of flat but the natural roll to the land is still in the track making it nice .

Hmmm, hard to judge flow from this video but it looks to have a lot of slow tight corners.

it seamed to have a good mix to me when i walked it .
i did not know in what direction the track was going to run so i walked it both ways .
counter clockwise looked like it would be more fun to drive but if you lose it at the end of the straight there is not much run off room .
there looks to be some good passing room in many places so that's a good thing .

^Two way traffic on track.. Took me by surprise... Maybe they are going to run it in both directions..?
