Re: 2011 Schedule?
Great News!
John worked with Watkins Glen and has been able to switch us from a Tuesday/Wednesday event to a Monday/Tuesday event – one less vacation day required!
The new dates are September 12 and 13. Update your calendars and stay tuned for future announcements.

Re: 2011 Schedule?
Mark, that's awesome.
It also makes a big difference for me. I made WGI work this year because I had never been, but I couldn't justify another 3 days off for this event. Even just going from 3 days off to 2 days off makes this a possibility.
BOD - thanks for the good work!

Re: 2011 Schedule?
So Troy, I finally get to the point where I can almost drive, and you go to a 1.8. Now I'm gonna be chasing TWO black Miatas!!! I'm gonna enter my '99 Taurus SHO in SS at this rate.

Re: 2011 Schedule?
We are confirmed for NJMP / Lightning on August 1-2.
Re: 2011 Schedule?
I just watched some video of Lightning, and I was like.... "eh".... Then again, I watched the vids for Thunderbolt prior to going there last November and was like.... "eh"...but was pleasantly surprised at how good the track was. I'll go....definitely.

I suppose I am.. I managed almost 600 track miles last year at that place over two days.

Between COM, EMRA, and NASA you could almost spend that entire week at NJMP (July 30th-August 7th).

Re: 2011 Schedule?
From what I've heard (never driven Lightening), it's much more of a Miata/momentum track than Thunderbolt. You'll enjoy it fo sho.

FYI, just saw this on Miata.net:
"We got official word from NJ Motorsports Park that they will no longer be accepting open face helmets for high performance driving events at their facilities. The minimum requirement is now a Snell rated (M2000 for track day / Miata Challenge, SA2000 for wheel to wheel racing) full face helmet with a shield for cars of all types."

Re: 2011 Schedule?
Did I hear a rumor about a potential one day (licensed drivers only) open track event at NHMS sponsored by COM in early April?
