I was there also. I remember the rain during the hurrican, the pits washed out friday night along with a few campers. I believe the Trauts as Event Stewards put on a great dinner Sat. Yes that was a great track.
I think Herb might have a memory or two from the first right hander. :)

I'll chime in as a subie guy.....only because I bought one after looking at Frank Cullen's RS and right before the WRX came to the US. I still hang around with these guys for some reason :D (watch out of Alex)

I only did one weekend at Bridghampton back in the early 90's sometime and remember the radar set up before the bridge and Frank and Taka (sp? memory?) in the Ruf 930 vying for top speed. I seem to remember both at around 144mph where the radar was. My CRX did all of 104 and gathered one star crack for each day I was there in the windshield.

Oh, the days......

Yup, that was where my ex-wife rolled our Daytona.

But boy, that track was a BLAST in my old '95 Corvette.

The cool thing about two-wheelers is that you only hit half of the bumps! But, excursions into the sand tended to be kind of disastrous...
The best I saw under the bridge was 131 - on my 60 hp Yamaha.

These are survivors of about 40 pictures that were damaged by water, bummer.

Fantastic. And the mythical 148 mph #67 is in the photo set.
