IE 11 or internet explorer 11
it's not the site it's my PC .
today I was looking at getting a mac for my shop .
the amount of maintenance a PC takes is not worth having one .
I don't like computers enough to sit and play around on one ! I would rather be out in my shops working on some project getting my hands dirty then screwing around with a computer cleaning ,updating and all the other crap you have to do .
the only time I have ever heard what I have is to big is when I try and post some thing on this site .
so thanks BALLER for posting the thing for me .

NP Dave. I am pretty sure that your PC still has a virus or malware in the system. I will stop down one night this week and take care of it.

thanks Baller !
I have no idea when or if I will be around this week ? so far tonight Thursday and Friday I have plans right after work .
Honda Rob has to stop down and get the fender I painted for him he was thinking of maybe Tuesday night ?

I don't care about this PC any longer I'm going to buy a mac for the shop .
the other problem is because of the all the maintenance the PC takes and every one wanting to help there are to many hands screwing around with the PC .
I had AVG a friend comes down and he does not like it so he installs norton it cost me 70 dollars then you come down and remove the Norton and install free AVG .
this is part of the problem I'm having . to many hands
the hundreds of feet run from the shop to the street with cat/level 1 cable my PC will only run so fast . my provider installed a in line buster that helped but the run is just to long giving me a slow PC .
a friend stopped in and changed the speed of my pc and then it started to crash . my service provider then had to come back and repair it again .
the free anti malware I have does not seam to be working ? out of the 3 other hands screwing around with my pc always fixing crap it seams the free trial some one loaded I now have to pay 100 dollars to have it .and I don't think it's working ?

I bought a PC because it was cheap 500 dollars . I paid the pc repair place to come down twice 250 dollars each time to repair it . I paid 70 dollars for Norton . the PC is just over two years old and for all this money I could have just bought a MAC and never have to touch it .

Try a Mini Mac. Incredible little box with lots of power. It's like a PC tower, only much much smaller, and much much better. Not a laptop, but unless you need it portable, who cares? That way,all you have to "worry" about is the MAC: If the monitor goes..you toss it and buy another for $75.If the mouse goes, toss it and buy another for $35. If the keyboard wears out/breaks, toss it and buy another for $45. Not portable, but a great home/shop based web tool. Just updated my Macs over the weekend..the software CD cost me $19.99 from Mac,and one disc did all 3 units. :)

Well, if you are keeping the PC, tell people thanks- but I will take care of it.

I don't charge you anything and don't mind coming to fix it when you need it. You always help me.

Norton is horrible and is very CPU intensive. It slows down your computer and uses a lot of memory.

Everyone knows how to "fix" computers. I have fixed more than I can count and get paid for it.

Like I said, happy to fix yours whenever you need it. Just tell other people no thanks.

You can buy a really good recycled Dell Latitude 640 on Ebay for around $250. BTW, the reason Macs don't get as many virus attacks as do Windows machines has nothing to do with the machine itself. It's just that there are way fewer Macs around, and hackers don't bother to write viruses for them. Also, why bother stealing from an artist

You can also buy a reconditioned Mini Mac on Ebay, with OSX Lion or better for about $250..maybe a tad more. ( I did this fairly recently) I use to think of Macs like I do Audis,Mercedes,Lexus etc; just more flash for more money..but I now know after 8 years of trouble free service from my Macs there is more to it than just "bling". The damn things work hard, they don't slow down and are easily updatable. Plus, you can run Windows programs on a Mac if need be, as the hard drives can be partitioned. The latest Mini Mac start new at $499 from Apple.

it's not just for artists the design programs I have on my MAC for doing chassis and roll cages and the aerodynamics program has many 1000's or hours . even the design work I did for what I just got a patent on would be worth steeling .
so design work is worth hacking into and is done .
6 years with not one problem on the Mac I'm sold on them !
not once have I ever turn on the computer to fine google totally gone and replaced with bing .
not once in 6 years have I ever turned my mac on to find some thing different from when I last used it .
I can't say that about my pc .
this morning I turn on the pc at the shop to find the tool bar has changed . with a pop up saying my up date was successful . really ? what update who's up date ?

another PC problem today .
I have Gordons MX-5 at my shop repairing the nose and I did a crap load of other things also . I wanted to send him some photos of the new nose (bumper) on the car as I shaved every thing off it .
I get a pop up saying I have a browser open . no I don't very thing is closed .
so after screwing around with the dam thing for over an hour I get it fixed .
all this just to transfer some photos from my camera to my PC so I can email them off to Gordon .

The security on Macs has always been much better. It runs Unix under the hood and it is much more stable and reliable. When I worked at Digital I know the Federal Reserve system was running on their Unix and the filesystem I worked on. They told me it would be a "national disaster" if the system went down for a day. And they meant it.

I think the risk on a Mac these days is doing updates from folks like Adobe. How secure are they and can they be spoofed? Once you type your password and let something proceed, you need to make sure it was the right thing.Once several years ago there was an odd update and it seemed like the wording of the request was backwards so I denied it.It turned out to be malicious.

The situation sucks these days and I'm amazed it just never gets better. It's very discouraging. At this point even the governments are depending on these flaws to get their own malware into opponents machines. If your machine is slow it's probably because your running in a little virtual machine while your bare metal is plotting to take over the world.

Updates from Adobe,Flashplayer etc are no more risky to a Mac than a PC,so I don't see the argument. The real beauty of a Mac is they don't slow down with use, ever. That is NOT true of a PC..and even the best of them after a few years go from a Corvette to a Yugo, regardless of how many times you defrag the harddrive. Macs just "think" better than a PC. Once you own a Mac,you will never go back to a Microsoft windows PC system.Unless you enjoy pain...
