Awesome Mickey - see you on Monday. I'm psyched to finally try out the new ride. Maybe I'll be able to keep up with you now!

I'm sorry I missed you guys.

Parents moved their stuff into their house this weekend, which didn't give me much time to prep the car. After I had replaced the brakes, brake fluid and loaded the car, at 8pm Sunday night I saw lots of grease underneath the car and remembered that at BMWCCA LRP event I ripped the driver's side axle boot... and then I said it was time "to threw in the towel". too much to do in little amount of time and I wasn't going to risk it.

I heard that you and one of the Swineharts met DJ McArdle.. the owner of the turbo swap 240 SX. DJ is the organizer for the Patroon BMWCCA events. Good guy and I'm glad you guys ran into him. did you give him sh%t for me not showing up?

I'm scheduled to go to WGI on June 18/19 with the BMW club, which will give me the weekend to prep. anyone interested in going?

Otherwise, I should be on the wait list to go NHIS in July and I am planning a trip to MT on July 30/31.

Sorry you missed it Mickey. It was a good event, with all kinds of open track. I think there were only 6 or 7 cars in the advanced run group, maybe 30 cars registered overall, if that.

They were working on the timing loop that's under the track at the exit of 11 before you join the oval, so they had us running the motorcycle course through the north chicane. Immiediately after 11, you had to stand on the brakes and go hard right, then left, then onto the oval. It was tight, and it killed your drive down the straight, but it was kind of interesting.

Yup, we met DJ. Nice guy. Neat car too, it shot flames at me through the exhaust.

LOL - sounds like DJ's car!

Interesting change to the north chicane. hmm...

I heard something about you chasing a Red Miata?
